HISTORY
Patient came
into OPD on 13th March, 2006 with the complaint of pain in all
joints. Patient was suffering from the same problem since 24 yrs.
PREVIOUS
TREATMENTS
For
the treatment of pain in joints, patient had consulted all the prestigious
institutes of northern India including Christian medical college & hospital
Ludhiana and taken many courses of analgesics etc. but get no relief.
INVESTIGATIONS
In the duration of the disease, patient had undergone all the
related investigations, out of which R.A. factor was positive.
DIAGNOSIS
On
Ayurvedic lines patient was diagnosed suffering from Amvata and following
treatment was given.
TREATMENT GIVEN
Ashwagandha, Kutha, Singhnad Gugglu, along with Abhyanga, Nadi Sweda & Matra
Vasti with Vata Pacifying Oil prepared in the Panchkarma Department
RESULTS
The
patient was admitted in the IPD for Panchkarma twice for the duration of 15
days each and remaining treatment was continued at OPD level.
In
four months of regular treatment, patient recovered from more than 70% of
her complaints with tremendous improvement in ankylosis of joints.
