CASE REPORT ON  GOUT 

 

HISTORY

Patient came into Outdoor Patient Department on 10 June, 2006 with the complaint of pain in multiple joints with more pain in knees. Patient was suffering from same symptoms for more than one year.

PREVIOUS TREATMENTS

For the pain in joints patient tried all sort of available treatments and got very temporary relief with analgesics. With the use of anlagesics patient was having drug induced gastritis also.

DIAGNOSIS

On Ayurvedic lines Patient was diagnosed suffering from Vata Rakta (Gout) and following treatment was given.

INVESTIGATIONS

Patent was having the reports of recent investigations and Uric acid was found very high (13.2) and RA factor was normal.

TREATMENT GIVEN

Arishatadi Yoga and Gugglu Yoga were given to the patient for three months only.

PRANAYAMA RECOMMENDED

Kapalbhati Anulom and Sheetali Pranayam was advised according to strength

PANCHAKARMA

No therapy of Panchakarma was given to patient

RESULTS

With three months regime of Arishatadi yoga + Gugglu yoga  patient completely cured from Gout (Vatarakta) and uric acid of the patient is also completely normal after three months treatment patient is not taking any treatment for the pain in joints and is eating normal diet and taking protein also.

No other medicine was given in the same duration for the treatment of Gout (Vatarakta)
